Remember when I said I’m on my way to pick up the V8 cake from Adriano Zumbo? Considering the complexity of the cake, it is well priced.  Please remind ourselves that this is the recipe in order to make one of this cake. http://www.masterchef.com.au/zumbo-v8-cake.htm There are so many steps in order to get one of this cake done.

As you can see in the picture above there is too much of vanilla crème chantilly on the side.  When I cut and first slice I got a slice of vanilla crème chantilly, nothing else, which on its own it is not balanced at all.  But if you eat the middle part, the flavour is actually very nice.  It’s a very  well balanced and my favorite layer is actually the vanilla almond crunch… Love that layer very much…

So, this is my verdict for the cake.  Is it a nice cake??  It’s a very nice cake.  But is it a type of cake that I want to go back and reorder??  I would say no.  In my humble opinion, I think this is like a one off cake that you would order only for the experience but it’s not  the type of cake that  I would scream for more and more…   By all means try it and see what you think…
